Handcrafted documents were the basis of how we reached out to our constituencies for more than one hundred years. Technologies that were developed near the end of the twentieth century changed everything. Our ability to reach interested parties expanded exponentially with e-mail and other web-based systems. Today, Albany Guardian Society uses videos and television productions to tell interesting stories that motivate and excite. And, to make these products available, we now have our own YouTube channel. Most not-for-profit organizations work hard to “tell their story.” Albany Guardian Society has found that current social media practices help us more easily share our experiences in aging services.
