Taking photos, videos, portraits, and “selfies” with your iPhone and your iPad is convenient and great fun. Chair Yoga

Breathe and gently stretch your way to a comfortable body and more relaxed mind. No previous yoga experience needed to gain the benefits of this centuries-old practice. Chair yoga is a fun, accessible way to short-circuit stress and build flexibility, balance, and strength. Appropriate for all levels of ability and challenges.

What you will need: An armless, straight backed chair, a yoga tie (or a necktie, belt, or a piece of fabric), and comfortable clothing.

Hospital Patient Rights: Understanding and Surviving New Policies for Admissions, Discharges, and Observation Status and How to Protect Your Rights

Hospital stays are one of the most trying times that patients and families may face. In this session you will learn about your rights as a hospital patient in New York State, and how to file an appeal, a discharge decision, or file a complaint related to quality of care or patient safety problems. Participants will receive tips on how to prepare for a hospital stay or an invasive procedure and learn about Medicare’s Observation Status policies that can affect post-acute care for rehabilitation.
